This ensures that our people are prepared to contribute meaningfully and create relevant impact to the success of the company and the clients we serve.

Labor Management Relations

We are committed to upholding human rights across all areas of our operations. Over the past years, we have seen a marked improvement in labor-management relations, reflecting the effectiveness of our efforts to promote a respectful and inclusive work environment. This progress is supported by clear mechanisms for gathering and resolving employee concerns, ensuring that grievances are addressed promptly and fairly. Through these initiatives, we continue to create a workplace where our people feel safe, heard, and valued.

Driving Positive Change in Local Communities

We are deeply committed to fostering strong, resilient communities through partnerships with various NGOs, Local Government Units (LGUs), and other key stakeholders. Our community programs primarily focus on skills training, environmental stewardship, and disaster resilience, ensuring we create lasting, positive impacts. Additionally, we contribute to the health and well-being of the communities we serve. By leveraging our resources and collaborating with local partners, we aim to build inclusive and sustainable communities that thrive alongside our business growth.

Disaster Resilience

The “Skills Training Towards Employment” (STEM) program at Aboitiz Construction provides qualified individuals with training in technical vocational courses. In partnership with TESDA and its accredited institutions, we prepare participants for potential employment on our project sites while equipping them with skills for sustainable livelihoods, fostering both personal and economic growth.

We promote environmental stewardship by involving our team members and community folks in tree planting and coastal clean-ups. These initiatives foster a culture of sustainability and actively contribute to preserving ecosystems for future generations.

We are also dedicated to building disaster-resilient communities. We achieve this through partnerships with the Aboitiz Foundation, Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation, and local government units, focusing on enhancing preparedness and response capabilities in vulnerable areas.

Skills Training

Aboitiz Construction is committed to creating livelihood opportunities in communities where its project sites are located. In line with this mission, the company signed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to refurbish TESDA Technology Institutions and establish Innovation Centers focused on construction and maintenance programs.

Guided by its Engineered for Excellence tagline—which reflects its goal to empower the workforce and drive progress for both business and communities—Aboitiz Construction has successfully trained 184 individuals through its Skills Training towards Employment program. With an impressive 85% employment rate, these graduates are now deployed across the company’s projects nationwide, contributing to inclusive job creation and industry growth.

This initiative is made possible through partnerships with various training institutions, including Maces Skills Training Institute in Bukidnon; Metrologyx Training and Assessment Inc. and SKILLS Inc. in Cebu; and the newest partner, Balamban Extensive Skills and Technology Inc., also based in Cebu.

Disaster Resilience

Aboitiz Construction, in partnership with Aboitiz Foundation and the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF), conducted the “Y-LEAD” training for the Sangguniang Kabataan leaders in Balamban, Cebu to strengthen their disaster preparedness and leadership skills.

The company also held disaster preparedness sessions for fishermen in Bataan and Surigao del Norte, farmers in Batangas, and local officials in Balamban. Participants learned how to develop family resilience plans and disaster risk maps to protect lives and livelihoods.
