Aboitiz Construction, like all businesses, was not spared from the unprecedented effects of the COVID19 outbreak. A number of its construction projects slowed down or were placed on hold. Our project managers experienced a dramatic shift in their responsibilities. Beyond re-mapping out the entire project completion timelines, they deal with more concerns such as disrupted livelihoods, health, and safety regulations beyond the campsites as new measures are defined for communities and regional borders, re-entry plans, to name a few.
Despite being physically away from each other, we made sure we stayed in touch with our team members. It became clear to us that building a stronger connection and keeping the communication alive are both very important during this time. We needed and wanted to provide frequent updates, keep teams up to date on news and business developments, inform each other about our team mates and colleagues.
